• EUROVISION SONG CONTEST 2009 PREDICTIONS

 

 

It's time to announce the result of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest 2009 Top 5 prediction contest. Between on April 1st and midnight on April 30th, visitors to this website were asked to predict which countries would finish in the Top 5 in the final of this year's contest.

Over two hundred valid entries were received from over forty countries and we have reviewed every entry to determine the most accurate prediction, based on the table below. The prize for the most accurate forecast is the official treble DVD of this year's contest, which will be in the shops on June 8th.

  • The song predicted to be 1st :  Points scored in the final multiplied by 5
  • The song predicted to be 2nd :  Points scored in the final multiplied by 4
  • The song predicted to be 3rd :  Points scored in the final multiplied by 3
  • The song predicted to be 4th :  Points scored in the final multiplied by 2
  • The song predicted to be 5th :  Points scored in the final with no multiplier
With over half the predictions correctly predicting Norway's victory, the scoring this year was at the highest level in the over ten year history of the competition and the result was very close. Here are the Top 10 most accurate forecasts.
